Seventh National Monitoring Conference - Monitoring From the Summit to the Sea

The National Water Quality Monitoring Council (NWQMC) will host its Seventh National Monitoring Conference - Monitoring From the Summit to the Sea, April 25-29, 2010. The conference will focus on the many facets of water quality and water quantity monitoring for improved understanding, protection, and restoration of our natural resources and communities.

 

The National Water Quality Monitoring Council's Seventh National Monitoring Conference to be held in Denver, Colorado from April 25-29, 2010 is fast approaching. The conference will focus on the many facets of water quality and quantity monitoring for improved understanding, protection, and restoration of our natural resources and communities. It will also provide a unique forum for water practitioners from all backgrounds—including governmental organizations, volunteers, academia, watershed and environmental groups, and the private sector—to exchange information, develop skills, and foster collaboration and coordination. The program includes Opening and Closing Plenary speakers, Contributed sessions, two Poster Session/Receptions, Workshops, and Field Trips.

Other ways you can participate:

The local planning committee has several field trips planned and here are a couple ways to help out.

 

1. If you have vans that could be used to transport people to field trip sites (mainly half day trips) and would be willing to do so, please let me know.

 

2. We need a volunteer to be the tour guide/leader for a field trip to Miller/Coors Brewery on Thursday afternoon from about 2:00 - 5:00 pm after the meeting. The Tour guide would greet people at the bus, keeps track of everyone, does head counts on the bus, and has a list of cell #s in case of emergencies. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there!
